That's Where The Blues Was Born
Track of the day That's Where The Blues Was Born - Louis Armstrong.
I was sitting by the banks of the river when a 12 inch shellac 78 came skipping over the water and sank just in front of me. I leaned over, lifted it out, dried it off, took it home and forgot all about it. This morning I found it again, put it on the Garrard 401 and transferred it to DAT tape.
You may well think that this is just a story, the product of an over active imagination but if anyone out there remembers slinging a 1948 Louis Armstrong 78 into a river I'd just like to say that it is in safe hands and any other donations would be most gratefully accepted.
