Blogspot Security Filter
Seems that the UK blogspot connect problem was caused by a google security filter.
Two weeks ago I made the mistake of switching my modem off and when I switched it back on my IP address had changed from 82.something to 77.something.
77.something was unacceptable to the blogspot filter. If I connected via a proxy all was well.
Naturally, being an old bogger, I didn't realise this until last night, just before I went off to bed.
This morning I discover that I can read my own page again with or without the help of a proxy server. At least I know what to do next time that I can't get blogspot pages to load - and there's bound to be a next time.
