Peter Parker's Hat

Track of the day - A Little Bit Of Cucumber - Harry Champion.

umpire_hat_cricketThe Cricket World Cup game between England and Canada was notable only because Canada finished on 228 for seven, their highest ever World Cup total and because umpire Peter Parker's hat blew off just as Dhaniram was about to bowl to Collingwood in the 38th over.
Collingwood had scored 7 runs at the time and didn't seem to be distracted but it makes you wonder what Parker would have done if Collingwood had been dismissed by the delivery.
I suggest umpire Parker uses a spot of contact adhesive during future games.

Weather

I made the mistake of sauntering along to our local store this morning.
The sun was shining and the sky was blue.
What a mistake!
It might be sunny but the wind is coming straight off someone's polar icecap.
I'm expecting to see penguins in the pond.
